An Inspiring Start to the 140th Anniversary Methodist Charity Run!

The 140th Anniversary Methodist Charity Run kicked off in high spirits as YB Hannah Yeoh, Malaysia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, officially flagged off the event. With over 1,400 enthusiastic runners from Penang and beyond, the run was not just a celebration of health and community but also a meaningful initiative to support the Methodist Crisis Relief & Development (MCRD). The funds raised will aid disaster-stricken communities while commemorating the 140th anniversary of the Methodist Church in Malaysia.

A special thank you goes to the incredible CBI MY volunteer team, whose dedication and hard work made this event a success. From managing information counters to guiding runners along the route, they rose before dawn to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their teamwork and commitment truly embody the spirit of service and community.
